About Us

Introduction

Welcome to Halimah's Nursery, a place inspired by the noble legacy of Halimah Sa’diyyah, the beloved wet nurse of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). In 2025, we are intending to open our first nursery, dedicated to fostering a nurturing environment where children can grow, learn, and thrive. Our aim is to serve as a positive beacon for the community, ensuring that every step we take is rooted in sincerity and purpose, benefiting both the children and their families.

Our Mission

Our mission is to support families by providing children with the time, attention, and care they need for their development, while beginning to introduce Islamic principles that will guide them throughout their lives, ensuring easy access and a commitment to removing barriers to entry.

Our Values

The EYFS Framework

We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework to ensure that every child receives a high-quality education and care. This framework provides a clear structure for developing key skills and knowledge in the early years, supporting children's learning through play and exploration. Through this framework, we encourage children to develop a love of learning, build confidence, and thrive in a safe and supportive environment. The EYFS framework covers seven areas of learning, divided into two main categories:

Primary Areas:
Communication and Language
Physical Development
Personal, Social and Emotional Development
Specific Areas:
Literacy
Mathematics
Understanding the World
Expressive Arts and Design

Muslim Ethos

At Halimah’s Nursery, we take great pride in embracing a Muslim ethos that forms the foundation of our approach to education and care. While we follow a well-rounded curriculum that meets early years standards, we also integrate prophetic practices and teachings that help develop Islamic values and good character in the children.

Our goal is to instill qualities such as kindness, respect, honesty, and empathy, guiding them towards becoming compassionate and responsible individuals. In addition to this, we introduce basic Arabic letter recognition, as well as greetings and common phrases, all of which can be easily adopted and incorporated into their daily lives.  We also explore songs, stories and hadith that are simple and relatable for young children. The aim is to gently introduce principles and values in a way that feels natural and engaging, without overwhelming the children. We believe in creating a supportive environment where the ethos of Islam is taught with love and care.
